Former St. Bonaventure center Youssou Ndoye was signed by the Orlando Magic for their summer league roster, the team announced Tuesday. Ndoye, who was not selected in last week’s NBA Draft, will be on the Magic’s “White” team for the Southwest Airlines Pro Summer League in Orlando July 4-10.
The 25-game, seven-day event will be held at the Magic’s practice facility.
Ndoye earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference third team honors and was named to the A-10 All-Defensive team. He competed in the Portsmouth (Va/) Invitational, a showcase for seniors with professional basketball aspirations, and earned tryouts with 12 NBA teams.
Last season, the 7-foot native of Dakar, Senegal, averaged 11.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for the Bonnies. He ranked second in the A-10 in both rebounding and blocked shots (2.6 per game).
Over his career, Ndoye scored 971 points, grabbed 705 rebounds, and blocked 209 shots.
