NORTH TONAWANDA – The Herschell Carrousel Museum will offer several free admission Wednesdays in July and August.
The first free admission Wednesday is this week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, 180 Thompson St. Although admission is free, visitors must pay 50 cents per token to ride the carousels and the rides in Kiddieland Testing Park.
The free Wednesdays are made possible through local business sponsors and the first week is sponsored by an anonymous donor. There is no free Wednesday during Canal Fest week or for any Wednesdays that remain unsponsored. Three more sponsors are needed to fill out the season through Aug. 29.
Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the museum includes admission to Kiddieland, which is open Wednesdays through Sundays.
For a complete schedule of free Wednesdays and events or to be a sponsor, call the museum at 693-1885 or visit www.carrouselmuseum.org.
