Bisons hope to graze on IronPigs

If the Buffalo Bisons can do to the IronPigs what they did in April, they will return to .500 for the first time since June 6.

The Herd swept Lehigh Valley in a four-game series from April 16 to 19 at Coca-Cola Field, outscoring the IronPigs 17-7 in the process. Buffalo dropped three of four games at Lehigh Valley last week, and are 8-4 against the IronPigs this season.

Tuesday’s first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. and will be Irish Festival Night. It will be the first three-game series the teams have played against each other this season.

Wolf comfortable at home: Wolf (5-1, 3.01 ERA), has allowed one run or fewer in four of his six home starts. Excluding a six-run game in 2.2 innings on May 25, Wolf has an 1.50 ERA at home in 30 innings this season. He will face Severino Gonzalez (1-4, 4.23 ERA).

Homesick: The Bisons have only played seven of 21 games at home this month. The Bisons went 3-4 in their lone home stand and averaged three runs per game. Buffalo is 6-8 on the road this month.

Records: Buffalo 34-37, Lehigh Valley 27-45.

Roster moves: The Blue Jays called up pitchers Rob Rasumussen and Todd Redmond. Rasumussen went 4-1 with a 2.93 ERA in 30∏ innings for the Bisons this season in 20 relief appearances and one start. Redmond was 1-2 with a 4.80 ERA in 24∑ innings for the Bisons.
