FLAMINIO, Thomas B.

FLAMINIO - Thomas B. Of Williamsville, NY, a beloved father, grandfather, friend and teacher passed away on June 17, 2015, at the age of 86. The youngest son of Italian immigrants, Tom was born and raised on the west side of Buffalo. He earned a degree from the University of Buffalo and taught English at Cleveland Hill High School for 30 years, where he was loved by his students. Tom was also a master woodworker and enjoyed opera, classical music, literature, and spending time with his family and his friends at the Amherst Senior Center. Tom was known for his passionate interest in the environment, human rights and discussing politics. Everyone who knew him was charmed by his warm smile, good humor and wit. Tom is survived by his three children: Linda, Steven and Sherri (Patrick Dougherty); his seven grandchildren: Paul, Melissa, Joseph, Katrina, Michael, Stacy and Dawn; and his devoted friend Mary Scheeder. Tom was predeceased by his former wife, Petie Bonsteel, his son David, his sister Tina and his brothers Ben and Anthony. A celebration of Tom's life will be held in July. Date and location to be announced.
