Youngstown woman charged with unemployment fraud

LOCKPORT – A Youngstown woman was charged with three felonies Saturday after a State Police investigation that began in late April showed that she allegedly collected $3,311 in unemployment benefits while she had a job.

Katherine M. Scott, 34, was arrested on charges of third-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.

Troopers said Scott was charged with collecting the money between July 2010 and June 2013.
