Karl Singletary, founder and executive director of the Buffalo Inner-City Ballet School and Company, will conduct a masters ballet workshop from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, 450 Masten Ave.
The public is invited.
Singletary, who was the choreographer for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Youth Concerts from 1972 to 1978, will receive a human relations award on Sunday from the NAACP Buffalo Branch during the organization’s 100th Anniversary Dinner at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
In addition, Singletary has studied ballet in Berlin, Germany, Paris, France and London. He has taught ballet in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Russia and other locations across the country.
