Melissa Foster, a founder and president of the Kenmore Village Improvement Society, was recently honored with the 2015 Robert Swift Service to Youth Award presented by the town Youth Board.

The award is presented each year to an individual who, as a volunteer, has given of themselves for the betterment of the youth of the town. It was presented to Foster during the board’s annual recognition dinner.

The monthly meeting of KVIS begins at 7 p.m. Monday in Kenmore Community Center, Wilber and Mang avenues.

This week:

• The Town Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 4 in the second-floor conference room.

• The Ken-Ton School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the community room of the Philip Sheridan Building, 3200 Elmwood Ave.

• The town clerk’s office will remain open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, through Sept. 30, for couples who wish to apply for a marriage license or passport. The office normally closes at 4:30 p.m. but hours will be extended to accommodate couples’ work schedules during the summer, when requests for marriage licenses is highest. The clerk’s office is located in Room 14 of the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave.

• The Kenmore East High School Class of 1995 will hold its 20th reunion at 7 p.m. June 13 in the Grove at Banchetti’s, 550 North French Road, Getzville. Tickets are $50 and include food, open bar and a deejay. Tickets are available at the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda, or online at facebook.com/KenEast1995.
