South Buffalo woman charged with threatening neighbors, police

A South Buffalo man told police he and his children were threatened with harm Saturday evening by a neighbor who then allegedly struggled with officers who were arresting her.

Chelsea L. Kofod, 31, of Heussy Avenue, was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Christopher Harter, also of Heussy, told South District officers that Kofod had threatened them about 10:30 p.m. While officers were placing handcuffs on Kofod, she allegedly pulled them to the ground and then was forcibly subdued, according to a report.

One officer’s eyeglasses were broken during the altercation while another officer suffered a small hand laceration, the report stated.

Records show Kofod was charged in June 2014 with third-degree assault and harassment for allegedly threatening another neighbor and punching her in the head and face before police arrived.
