Loss wraps up Lauricella's career at St. John's

Zach Lauricella (Clarence) saw his collegiate baseball career end Sunday night when the St. John’s Red Storm were eliminated by Arkansas, 4-3, in the Stillwater, Okla., Regional of the NCAA Division I Tournament. The Razorbacks scored a run in the top of the ninth to edge the Big East Conference champions.
Lauricella, a senior right fielder, was 2 for 4 in the final game with a double. The former Clarence High star was 5 for 15 with three doubles in four games in the regional and finished his career at St. John’s with a .302 batting average, including .326 for this season.
