School: Alden

Year: Junior

Twitter: @fonoah101

#PrepTalkResume: Won four individual state championships this year at West Point, setting a state record in air rifle.

Statistics 101: Fox set the air rifle state record with a score of 294.19 out of 300 at the state championships, breaking the old mark of 292. He also won state titles in prone (99.08), kneeling (95.03) and aggregate (283.13). He was second in offhand (91.02) by 1/100th of a point. He also helped Alden and Section VI to team state titles in .22 caliber. He was a sectional champion in .22 aggregate, offhand and air rifle. This season he set an Alden record in kneeling (100.06) while he owned the top air rifle average in Western New York (283.375).

Favorite moment in H.S. competition: "When I broke the New York State air rifle record."

Favorite teammate: Mike McMurtree.

Toughest opponent: Rhianna Lichtenthal (Orchard Park senior who won last year's Prep Talk Player of the Year for rifle).

Role model: My parents.

Pro/college athlete he looks up to: Steph Curry.

I wouldn't be Prep Talk Player of the Year without ... "my parents, rifle coach (Paul Borkowski), and family and friends."

When I'm not playing or practicing my sport, I'm ... "hanging out with friends or relaxing."

What's ahead: He still has his senior season to try and break more records and participate in shooting competitions. Recently he finished ninth in his age group (and 39th overall) at the Junior Olympic Rifle Finals at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Here's a look back at last year's awards via Twitter.

Here's an online look back at last year's special section.

Who will be this year's Prep Talk Team of the Year? Miguel Rodriguez's final Power 10 of the fall determined our choices as the top teams from the first season of the school year. Rodriguez's final Power 10 of the winter determined the top teams of the second season of 2014-15.
