Ease back into the work week on Monday with Vermont roots musician Matt “MV” Valentine performing in Mohawk Place.
One half of the experimental folk duo MV & EE and former member of psych group the Tower Recordings, Valentine will be on the road and back in Buffalo to support his double LP solo album, “Midden Mound,” set to drop in physical form on Golden Lab Records later next month. The album’s first single, “Unity,” is a mysterious and meandering cut of hazy stoner folk. Listen to the track here.
Rounding out the very full bill will be local songwriters Scott Valkwitch and Bill Nehill, saxophone extraordinaire Steve Baczkowski, Indiana folk artist Chase Huglin and many more.
Music is set to kick off at 8 p.m. Monday with an $8 cover at the door. Further details can be found here.
