43North competition shines light on upstate

As active members of the growing upstate New York entrepreneurial ecosystem and advocates for the 43North Global Business Idea Competition, we want to encourage all local entrepreneurs to take a shot at this year’s competition, which is accepting applicants until June 24.

Inventive and attention-grabbing events like the 43North competition, Clarkson’s Young Entrepreneurs and Innovators Competition, and the Syracuse Germinator Contest are shining much-needed light on upstate as a place to start and grow businesses.

The “StartUpstate” movement is a true testament to the fact that our region offers the resources, talent, ideas and friendly living environments that are attractive to entrepreneurs of all ages, experience levels and demographics.

43North has already drawn attention and companies from around the world to Buffalo, and assisted 11 startups in advancing and positioning their business ideas for growth and success.

For the second consecutive year, there is $5 million in cash awards available for applicants ages 18 and over, from anywhere in the world, in any industry, other than retail and hospitality.

Apply today, be a part of Buffalo’s future and keep your eyes on the million-dollar prize!
