University at Buffalo soccer players Waleed Cassis and Courtney Mann were presented with the Mid-American Conference’s Medal of Excellence during a ceremony in Cleveland on Wednesday night.
The award is given to one male and one female student-athlete from the graduating class of each of the 12 conference members.
Cassis finished his two-year career at UB with a 1.84 goals-against average. He recently signed with the Ottawa Fury of the North American Soccer League. Mann, a midfielder, helped the Bulls win their first MAC Tournament championship. UB went unbeaten at 9-0-2 in conference play.
