LOCKPORT – A man wanted for aggravated felonious assault was nabbed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Lewiston Bridge on Tuesday, and he appeared before Niagara County Court Judge Sara Sheldon on Wednesday.
Scott LeBlanc, 59, had an outstanding warrant from Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, which was confirmed by Customs Border Patrol officers.
New Hampshire authorities agreed to extradite LeBlanc, who voluntarily agreed to be extradited when he appeared in Niagara County Court on Wednesday.
He will be held for 30 days in Niagara County Jail awaiting extradition.
“Our officers did a tremendous job identifying and apprehending this fugitive. We work very closely with our law enforcement partners and are glad this individual will now face justice,” said Mark MacVittie, Acting Port Director for the Port of Buffalo, in announcing the arrest.
