Dodge Elementary to get new principal

Dodge Elementary School will get a new principal next month.

The Williamsville Board of Education on Tuesday appointed Charles Smilinich as principal of Dodge beginning June 25. He will replace Lynn Fritzinger, who is retiring July 1 after 14 years as principal and 30 years as an educator in the school district.

Smilinich has been the principal at Colonial Village Elementary School in the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District since 2011. In April, he was selected as the 2015 New York State Elementary Principal of the Year by the School Administrators Association of New York State and the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
