Woman injured, dog killed in Town of Boston hit-and-run

A 68-year-old woman was injured and her dog killed when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday morning in the Town of Boston.

The woman was walking her dog in the 6600 block of Ward Road at 7:45 a.m. when she was struck. The woman, who was knocked into a ditch, was in stable condition Saturday evening in Erie County Medical Center. The dog was killed, State Police said.

Investigators are looking for a vehicle believed to be maroon in color. The vehicle is believed to be a either 2012 to 2014 Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ or Mercury Zephyr.

The vehicle may have damage to the passenger-side front end and is missing the cover to the side-view mirror on the passenger side.
