Intoxicated man found passed out in car after crash

A North Buffalo man who was found passed out behind the wheel of his running car, which had struck a Main Street gate to Forest Lawn, was charged early Saturday with driving while intoxicated.

Buffalo police said officers on patrol spotted Jamale L. Foster, 31, of Rugby Road, inside his car, which was still in drive, lodged in the gate.

Police said Foster failed a field sobriety test and a chemical test determined that his blood-alcohol level was .14 percent. He also was charged with felony second-degree criminal mischief and aggravated unlicensed operation.
