Monday is the deadline to register to attend the annual meeting of the Western New York Land Conservancy, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. June 4 in the Buffalo History Museum in Delaware Park.
Executive Director Nancy Smith said non-members may attend to find out more about the conservancy and its effort protect significant land from development.
The meeting will include the designation of board members Robbyn Drake, Deborah Fenn, and John Hughes. Drake is director of citizen action with Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper; Fenn is a retired West Valley High School teacher and vice president of the Erie-Cattaraugus Rail Trail; and Hughes worked as a civil engineer for the state Department of Transportation and is a member of the Town of Aurora Open Space Committee.
Ticket prices are $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Registration can be made by calling 687-1225 or emailing email@example.com. Messages must indicate how many people will be attending. Checks then may be sent to the conservancy at P.O Box 471, East Aurora, NY 14052.
