Burglar steals iPads in break-in at Dog Ears Bookstore

Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, a nonprofit community bookstore located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo, was recently the target of a thief who broke into the bookstore after business hours and made off with two Apple iPads.

Tom McDonnell, executive director of the bookstore, said, “The iPads are important from a business sense, yet our high insurance deductible makes it nearly impossible for us to replace them without assistance from the community.”

Donations will be accepted at the bookstore during regular business hours: 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Anyone with information about the break-in is encouraged to call the A District Police Station at 851-4415.
