Schuele Boys gang associate pleads guilty to gun charge

An associate of Buffalo’s Schuele Boys Gang pleaded guilty Wednesday to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Assistant U.S. Attorney George C. Burgasser said Demetrius Holmes, 24, of Buffalo, was charged after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at his residence on Schuele Street last year and recovered a 20-gauge shotgun. Holmes was previously convicted of a robbery charge that prevented him from legally possessing a gun.

Investigators say Holmes was an associate of the Schuele Boys, a gang linked to multiple acts of violence and drug dealing. He is the fourth member or associate to be convicted.
