Man accused of stealing car at gunpoint

NIAGARA FALLS – A Buffalo man has been charged with stealing a car while threatening witnesses with a gun, according to police.

Rashaan K. Mallory, 20, of Miller Avenue, was charged Monday with second-degree robbery with a weapon, fourth-degree grand larceny, several counts of auto stripping, and criminal mischief.

The victim told police she saw a man smashing her vehicle’s window just after 5:30 a.m. Monday in the 3100 block of Ninth Street. When the woman’s brother tried to confront the man, he pointed a black handgun at him and threatened him.

Police were able to locate the vehicle and stop it on the I-190 southbound near the Niagara Falls Boulevard ramp. He was identified by the victims and charged, police said.
