Bucky and Sully dig into national topics, discussing how the Los Angeles Clippers blew a 3-1 series lead in the Western Conference Semifinals. In the second segment, CSN Chicago's Tracey Myers, who covers the Blackhawks, explains what Chicago has to do to knock off the red-hot Anaheim Ducks.
Below are the segments from the May 18 show that aired originally at 6:30 p.m. on WBBZ-TV.
Segment 1: Sully regrets his previous claim that the Clippers would triumph, and Bucky wonders about Dwight Howard's ceiling and what kind of damage the Rockets' center can do against the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. Sully gets especially angry over Matt Barnes.
Segment 2: CSN Chicago's Tracey Myers -- also a St. Bonaventure graduate -- joins the hosts by phone to talk about the Blackhawks and their tall task against the Anaheim Ducks. What do the 'Hawks have to do to beat white-hot Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen?
Segment 3: Sully sounds off on the NHL Playoffs, ranting about how overrated it is as a sports spectacle. Not one to back down, Bucky eggs Sully on, and then argument escalates from there. Finally, the hosts get to chat a bit about the Sabres' chase after Mike Babcock.
Segment 4: Now that Sully is "cleansed," Bucky is all aboard American Pharoah for the coveted Triple Crown, while his cagey co-host hedges his bets by taking the field in the Belmont Stakes.
