SHELBY – The Sandstone Development Site in the Orleans County Town of Shelby has been officially designated as “shovel ready” by New York State, Empire State Development announced Monday.
The 125-acre property, formerly known as the Keppler Site, is on Maple Ridge Road directly south of Medina Business Park. The designation means that there are no wetlands, endangered species, historic artifacts or other issues that might delay a project there.
Utilities, including electricity, gas, water and sewer, are available, ESD added, and the site is eligible for low-cost hydroelectric power. For information on the site, call (585) 589-7060, ext. 104 or 105, or visit orleansdevelopment.org/projects.
