Dartmouth Avenue man arrested for slashing a neighbor’s thumb

A 49-year-old Dartmouth Avenue man was charged with felony counts for allegedly slashing a neighbor woman’s left thumb with a knife during an argument in the second block of that street early Sunday. Robert Patton was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree menacing for the incident. The victim went to the Erie County Medical Center for treatment of her thumb gash, according to a police report.
