SILVER CREEK – A Kansas woman pulled over for speeding early Sunday morning was charged with felony weapons possession after a Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputy found a loaded pistol in her car.
Doreen S. Mundy, 46, of Lenexa, Kan., was pulled over at about 5:20 a.m. on Central Avenue, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
She was charged with criminal possession of a firearm because she did not have a state permit for the weapon. She was also ticketed for speeding.
After arraignment in Silver Creek Village Court, Mundy was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.
