HINSDALE – A man and his daughter were listed in stable condition Saturday after their vehicle flipped and landed on its roof after being hit by a car on Route 16 in Hinsdale Friday evening, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies said.
Barry Keeley, 32, of Olean, was identified as the driver of a car that hit the vehicle driven by Jason Chapel, 36, of Salamanca, which was stopped at the intersection with Gile Hollow Road. Chapel and his 12-year-old daughter were flown by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center and Women’s and Children’s Hospital, respectively.
Another passenger in the Chapel vehicle, an 11-year-old girl, was treated for minor injuries in Olean General Hospital and released.
Keeley, wo also was treated for injuries in Olean General, was charged with following too closely and speeding.
State Police assisted the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
