Restaurateur Russell J. Salvatore announced Friday that he’s donating $300,000 toward a fundraising campaign for an expanded field house and new artificial turf at Lancaster High School.
Lancaster residents will vote Tuesday on a proposition for a $57.3 million capital project that would bring an array of upgrades to the district. The base project totals $49.6 million.
An additional $7.7 million would be for the turf field and field house improvements, but that is contingent on the Lancaster Educational and Alumni Foundation raising $1 million in the next year to cover the local share of the cost of those components.
Salvatore’s donation would go toward that $1 million.
