Lockport author Storrs Cotten to speak Monday in library

LOCKPORT – Local author Cynthia Storrs Cotten, , who recently moved back to Lockport after 39 years away, will give the John and Dianne Koplas Memorial Lecture at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Lockport Public Library, 23 East Ave. It’s free and open to the public.

“Caledonia: Coming Home” will be the title of the talk. The family and friends of John and Dianne Koplas established this lecture series in cooperation with the library to honor the Koplases’ devotion to teaching and their lifelong passion for learning.

A native of Lockport, Storrs Cotten has published nine children’s books, taught writing classes, judged writing competitions, and been a presenter and manuscript critiquer at conferences. She is also active in the Lockport community, as a member of the Rotary Club, the Kenan Arts Council and the board of directors of the Lockside Arts Center.
