Reports: Luke Scott may be heading to the Bisons on minor league deal

Nothing has been made official by the Toronto Blue Jays or the Buffalo Bisons but the internet is awash in the news that Luke Scott was signed to a minor league deal and will soon be playing Triple-A with the Herd.

The outfielder and designated hitter last played in the major leagues in 2013 when when he was in 90 games for the Tampa Bay Rays. He played nine seasons with Houston, Balitmore and Tampa Bay before moving to Korea in 2014 and starting this season in the Mexican League.

While Scott would be a welcomed addition to the paltry and sporadic Bisons offense, his biggest story lines have come off the field. Scott has not been shy about sharing his political views, which include well-publicized anti-President Obama sentiments. He is also a gun enthusiast who used to bring a gun to the ballpark before baseball banned the practice.
