Jamestown High School student is a heroin suspect

JAMESTOWN – A 15-year-old Jamestown High School student was arrested by a school resource officer at the school at 350 E. 2nd Street about 8 a.m. Thursday after the student went up to the officer while smelling of marijuana.

The officer reported finding the student was carrying three bags of heroin, a quantity of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash. The student was charged as a juvenile and Chautauqua County Family Court proceedings were launched, according to the Jamestown Police Department. Anyone in the Jamestown area with information on the illegal sale or possession of narcotics is asked to call the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force anonymous tip line at 483-8477.
