Conewango Valley driver charged with striking Amish buggy and its horse

LITTLE VALLEY – A 22-year-old Conewango Valley man was arrested Wednesday by State Police after he allegedly struck an Amish buggy and injured the horse pulling it while trying to pass the westbound rig on Seager Hill Road in the Town of Conewango.

Adam J. Dimpfl, whose vehicle also struck a metal fence before ending in a ditch along the road, was charged with failing to use due care when passing a horse on the roadway. He faces proceedings in Conewango Town Court in several weeks. Troopers said neither Dimpfli nor the Amish buggy driver was injured but the horse suffered lacerations.
