Live coverage: Buffalo School Board meeting at 5:30 pm; superintendent selection debate and budget vote

Tonight's May 13 school board meeting is expected to be a contentious one, with board members disagreeing on how to move forward with a superintendent search process that has been neither easy nor smooth. Board members are expected to discuss the superintendent job posting and decide on a timeline for the superintendent search process. Here's a draft of the superintendent posting that has been circulated among board members: Superintendent Posting_Draft_May 7 2015

In addition the board is expected to vote on the proposed $825.8 million budget for 2015-16, and members of the DPCC are planning to protest the budget process. Here's the press release about that: DPCC rejects 2015-16 BPS budget

Tonight's board meeting has been moved to a new venue. It will start at 5:30 p.m. at Southside Elementary School, 430 Southside Parkway. Here's the link to the board agenda packet.
