Kitchen cabinets and copper stolen in Falls burglary

NIAGARA FALLS – A man who said he was in Niagara Falls to “flip a property” in the 1100 block of 85th Street said Monday that someone broke in and stole copper pipes and $3,600 worth of new kitchen cupboards he had planned to install.

The Youngstown man who owned the property said he locked up when he left three weeks ago, but came to check on the property at noon on Monday and found the front door unlocked. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window.

Inside the house approximately 19 Hampton Bay kitchen cabinets that were in the front room were missing. Also two copper pipes had been cut from the top of the hot water tank.
