Falls men plead guilty in house burglary

LOCKPORT – Two Niagara Falls men pleaded guilty Monday to the June 29 theft of a TV set and jewelry from a house on 18th Street in the Falls.

Eric C. Shimmel, 30, of 13th Street, and Christopher L. Perham, 24, who lives across 18th Street from the crime scene, each admitted to reduced charges of attempted second-degree burglary. County Judge Sara Sheldon scheduled sentencing, which will include $500 in restitution for each man, for July 6.

In another burglary case, Neshon Q. Morley, 29, of Dysinger Road, Lockport, admitted to third-degree burglary in connection with a Jan. 21 break-in at the Town of Lockport home of his aunt and uncle. Sheldon admitted him to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment, meaning Morley risks a seven-year prison term if he washes out of the program.
