Bianco named principal of Notre Dame High School

BATAVIA – Wade Bianco, assistant principal at Irondequoit High School since 1992, has been named the new principal of Notre Dame High School here, effective July 1, Board of Trustees president John Borrelli announces.

He will succeed Joe Scanlan, a Notre Dame graduate whose 43-year career has included 15 years at Byron-Bergen, 17 years at York and the past 11 years as principal at Notre Dame.

Bianco, a Batavia resident, began his career in education in 1980 and received his Certificate of Advance Study from SUNY Brockport in 1995. He served on the Parish Council during the merger of St. Anthony’s and Sacred Heart churches into one parish.
