NCCC English teacher charged with leaving child in car

SANBORN – Dr. Nicole Bishop, 41, a Niagara County Community College English teacher, was arrested on a child endangerment charge after allegedly leaving her 2-year-old child in her hot car for about 40 minutes while Bishop taught an English class at noon Monday.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office was called by a bystander who saw Bishop leave her child in her car with one window slightly open.

Bishop was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and the sheriff’s office notified Niagara County Child Protective Services about the incident.

Bishop faces proceedings in Cambria Town Court June 2.
