Falls man is robbed at gunpoint by masked men

NIAGARA FALLS – A Niagara Falls man was robbed of his cash by two armed and masked men at 1 a.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Ontario Avenue.

The victim said he had just left his house to grab some cigarettes from his pickup in his driveway when an unknown man came out from behind the truck, pointed a gun at him and said, “Happy Mother’s Day. Where’s the money?” Another unknown man, also armed with a gun, came from behind the house and also demanded he hand over his money.

The suspects fled after the victim handed over $500 cash he had in his pocket.

The victim said he and a friend chased the armed suspects, but did not locate them.

Police told the victim that it was not safe to chase after armed suspects, but the victim said he wasn’t worried about the gun. The suspects were both wearing black ski masks and had hoods pulled up over their heads.
