North Tonawanda man charged with felony DWI pleads guilty during arraignment

LOCKPORT – A North Tonawanda man indicted on felony driving while intoxicated charges pleaded guilty as charged at his arraignment Friday, an almost unheard-of move in State Supreme Court.

James R. Buzard Jr., 50, of Sixth Avenue, admitted to felony and aggravated DWI and could go to prison for as long as four years when he is sentenced June 24 by Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr.

Buzard was arrested March 23 in North Tonawanda.
