Baby cribs recalled for lead paint

Georgia-based Baby’s Dream Furniture has recalled nearly 30 types children’s furniture and accessories due to excessive levels of lead.

The affected products were sold under the Brie, Braxton, Heritage, Everything Nice and Legendary collections. The lead is contained in their grey paint finish. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled items are:

• Everything Nice Collection Spice Crib, Sugar Crib, Hutch, Double Dresser, Single Dresser, five-drawer chest, bookcase and night stand.

• Legendary Collection Panel Flat Crib, Stationary Crib (flat and curved top), Safety-Gate Crib (flat and curved top), Hutch, Double Dresser, Single Dresser, five-drawer chest, night stand, bookcase, Legendary Guard Rail and Caps & Short Post.

• Brie Collection Crib, Braxton Collection Crib, Heritage Collection Single Dresser, Baby’s Dream Changer Tray, Universal Guard Rail, Universal Full Bed Adult Rails and Universal Queen Bed Adult Rails.

The products were sold online and in retail stores from march 2014 to March 2015 at price points from $100 to $1,000. They were made in Chile.
