Alt 107.7 FM will be available Monday on alternative frequency

Alternative Buffalo 107.7 FM will have an alternative frequency on Monday.

The station’s owner, Entercom, announced today it has purchased the 104.7 FM translator from Family Life Radio and will simulcast the modern alternative music format on it starting on Monday.

In a release, Entercom said the additional station “will improve the listening experience” in the northwestern portion of Erie County and the University District downtown, where 107.7 FM has had reception issues since Alt premiered about a year and a half ago.

In other words, alternative music listeners now will have two answers when asked, “where’s the frequency?”
