Lawnmower stolen in Niagara Falls is part of ongoing problem

NIAGARA FALLS – A Pierce Avenue man who reported his lawnmower stolen Wednesday told police there have been ongoing problem problems with thefts in the neighborhood.

The victim said this is the second time he has been burglarized, and told police he has filed previous reports, including the theft of his snowblower.

The electric mower, valued at $200, was stolen from the garage in the 2700 block of Pierce between midnight and 1 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the garage was unsecured and suggested the man get a padlock.
