A 29-year-old Laird Avenue man who was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the Erie County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and Buffalo Police narcotics detectives remained at the Erie County Holding Center Wednesday evening, Sheriff Timothy B. Howard said.
Marque Sudduth was arrested in his home in the 100 block of Laird under a search warrant granted by State Supreme Court Justice Timothy J. Drury. More than a quarter kilo of cocaine, a loaded stolen pistol and drug paraphernalia were seized, the sheriff said.
The pistol was confirmed to have been stolen recently in Selma, Alabama, according to the Selma Police Department. Sudduth faces a possible life sentence if convicted as charged of an A-1 felony count of first-degree criminal possession of narcotics. He also faces trial on charges of criminal possession of stolen property for the pistol seizure and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, the sheriff said.
