Jewish Family Service program supported by Barnes & Noble

Customers at Barnes & Noble can support the Jewish Family Service Immigrant and Refugee Parenting Program by using a special code when making purchases at the Barnes & Noble, 1565 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst, or any other B&N in the country, from May 15-17. The program also is good for online shopping at www.bn.com/bookfairs from May 15-22.

In conjunction with the program, a Book Fair will be held at the Niagara Falls Boulevard store May 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with storytelling at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., craft time at 1 p.m. and musical performances at 3 p.m.

Shoppers should use JFS Bookfair Code 11585502.

The JFS parenting program partners with local resettlement agencies and public schools to help immigrant and refugee parents address the challenges and cultural differences related to raising children in the United States. It helps nurture parent-child relationships, promote positive disciplinary strategies and foster parents’ ability to support their children’s linguistic, academic, social, and emotional development.
