Cleveland BioLabs names Miller president

Cleveland BioLabs has named Dr. Langdon L. Miller, its chief medical advisor for the past 15 months, as its president and chief medical officer.

Miller, who has more than 20 years of experience in drug development for cancer and orphan diseases, will fill a president’s role that has been empty at the Buffalo drug development company, which is scrambling to gain approval to begin selling its anti-radiation sickness drug for emergency use before it runs out of money, potentially as early as this summer.

Yakov Kogan remains as Cleveland BioLabs’ chief executive officer.
