Man found passed out in his car was charged with drunken driving

WHEATFIELD – New York State police found a man passed out behind the wheel of his car had a blood alcohol level nearly three times over the legal limit.

Raymond A. Long, 53, of Tonawanda was found in his vehicle by police at the corner of Niagara Falls Boulevard and Nash Road on Saturday after they received a 911 call of a man passed out behind the wheel in the intersection.

Long was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and stopped on a highway. Police said his blood alcohol level was .21 percent, nearly three times the legal limit.

He was issued an appearance ticket and a return court date for May 19 in Town of Wheatfield Court.
