Officials found and confiscated a loaded .38-caliber handgun on a Baltimore-bound passenger at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport over the weekend, the Transportation Security Administration announced Monday morning.
The handgun, loaded with five rounds, was found in the man’s carry-on bag as he passed through the airport’s security checkpoint Friday night. The TSA officer staffing the X-ray machine detected the gun.
The man, whose name has not been released, was charged with an unspecified weapons charge. Officials also said there was no disruption of airport operations.
