Two women stabbed during Broadway-Fillmore dispute

Two women were stabbed during a fight Saturday in the city’s Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Playter Street shortly after 2 p.m., according to police.

The two victims – Tara Simpson and Chaniah Trueheart, no ages available – said they were stabbed with glass bottles by two unknown females, police said. Simpson suffered lacerations on her left hand and left side of her forehead. Trueheart had multiple lacerations to her left wrist.

Both were taken by ambulance to Sisters Hospital. The fight apparently started with the women’s children, who are on a drill team together, police said.
