Two men shot on Buffalo streets in separate incidents

Two men were shot in separate incidents early Saturday, and police seek the public’s help as they investigate.

A 28-year-old was hit by gunfire on Curry Walk, which runs off of Clinton Street near Jefferson Avenue, just before 1 a.m. The victim, who police did not identify, was listed in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center. Detectives want to determine if he was struck by a stray bullet, according to Michael DeGeorge, a department spokesman.

Two hours later, a 22-year-old was hit by gunfire at Jefferson Avenue and South Division Street, a few blocks from the earlier shooting. He was listed in fair condition at ECMC.

Police ask anyone with information to call or text the confidential tip line, 847-2255.
