Hamburg market gets BBQ breakfast

Wayno’s BBQ is going to start dishing up smoky breakfast burritos and more at the Hamburg Farmers Market, starting Saturday.

Wade Starnes has been serving barbecue at catered events, but this is his debut to the general public, he said.

He smokes beef brisket from Librock Farms in Gasport, and will wrap slices up with eggs, grilled onions and potatoes, housemade salsa verde and queso fresco in a flour tortilla for $6.

He’s also selling brisket or pulled pork sandwiches for $9 with a side, and breakfast sandwiches for $5. Sides will include smoked mac and cheese, beans, and two kinds of cole slaw.

The market is in the Village of Hamburg municipal parking lot, across South Buffalo Street from the Palace Theater. Starnes plans on being there when the market is open, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 31.
