Crews to begin repaving some Niagara Falls streets

NIAGARA FALLS – City crews will begin resurfacing some streets in LaSalle on May 11, Mayor Paul A. Dyster announced Thursday.

The streets include: Caravelle Drive from Cayuga Drive to Niagara Falls Boulevard; West Rivershore Drive from South 86th St.; 95th Street from Cayuga to Niemel Drive; 89th Street from Cayuga to Niagara Falls Boulevard; 84th Street between Lindbergh and Witkop avenues; Witkop Avenue from Laughlin to 87th Street; 85th Street from Witkop to Bollier Avenue; 81st Street from Niagara Falls Boulevard to Frontier Avenue; Girard Avenue from 66th Street to 72nd Street; 74th Street between Buffalo and Stephenson avenues; and 47th Street from Packard Road to Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Residents along West Rivershore will be contacted by the Department of Public Works before construction begins.

Streets to be repaved in other sections of the city, for a total of 34, will be announced at a later date.

Full-depth reconstruction of several streets, to be done by contractors, will also take place on Portage Road from Ferry Avenue to Niagara Street, and 27th Street between Ferry and Niagara.
